Descriptor
Densely tufted perennial rush spreading from underground stems. Shiny erect bright green stems to 3mm diameter with raised ridges. Pith white, open, usually with large air spaces. Straw colored flowers in clusters separated by bare branchlets. Capsules reddish-brown, flattened on top, as long or longer than flower. Garden use in wet areas and pond and dam walls. Excellent habitat plant
