Descriptor |
Perennial sedge with creeping rhizome. Flowers in panicles of spikes, few to more than 20. Glumes purple-brown or blackish. Leaves and bracts long and narrow, the latter overtopping the inflorescence and the lowest with a distinct sheath. |
