This large retarding basin in the South East of Melbourne is designed to retain and treat polluted stormwater.
Melbourne Water have built a significant number of these assets around the greater Melbourne region, and they play a significant role in reducing water pollution through filtering out nutrients, sediments and heavy metals using natural processes. Australian Ecosystems supplied and planted around 100,000 aquatic and terrestrial species for this project.
