Police Road wetland

Working for Melbourne Water, Australian Ecosystems collected seed, propagated and planted around 400,000 locally indigenous wetland and riparian plants for this project. The project also involved the establishment of riparian vegetation along a large bypass channel. This is a very significant site covering over 20 hectares of the Dandenong Creek Floodplain, and is a significant habitat site for birds and frogs. Police Road wetlands now make a significant positive contribution to the water quality of the Dandenong Creek.
