A Melbourne Water project, Olinda Creek wetlands involved the collection, propagation and planting of around 80,000 wetland plants with some riparian interface species on a constructed wetland on Olinda Creek in Lilydale. The wetlands are designed to treat and remove sediments and nutrient loads from urban areas that feed into the Olinda Creek. The creek then feeds into Lilydale Lake, where Australian Ecosystems has also performed significant wetland and riparian vegetation establishment works.
