  • Bright green, arching blades
  • Flowers in small clusters at ends of angled flowering stems

  • Rhizomatous mat-forming, to 80cm tall
  • Linear blades, often reddish
  • Seasonally wet or waterlogged sites, clay soils

  • Coarse, erect to 100cm high
  • Silky hairs at nodes, long leaf blades
  • Flower spikelets covered in copious fine hairs
